Sara Nicole Dabell-Osterhout

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mother, Sara Nicole Dabell-Osterhout, left this world on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from complications of the flu at the age of 32. Sara was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on April 10, 1989 to Martel (Marty) and Nancy (Bethel) DaBell. Her parents moved to Rupert, Idaho when she was 3 weeks old. She lived her whole life in Rupert. Sara attended grade school, junior high and graduated from Minico High School in May, 2007.  During her high school years, she went to work at Burger King and McDonalds and became a crew chief manger.  Later, she worked McLoughlin’s and Walmart where she became a customer service manager. She did attend classes at College of Southern Idaho to advance her management skills for Wal-Mart.

Sara married Gary Osterhout in November, 2011 and two years later on August 28, 2013, they had a son, Kayden Blake Martel Osterhout. Kayden was the love of Sara’s life and she had finally found her calling. To just be “Roo’s” mom.  She was incredibly talented and loved life and loved her friends and family There was no one that she didn't call her sister or brother and their parents her second mom or dad..  Although Sara had many interests, her primary focus was her family. Her dad passed away from a lengthy bout of brain cancer when she was 9 years old and her little brother, Ryan Dabell, was five.  She took on the responsibility of helping her brother and mother in the role of 2nd mom.  Family always came first to Sara. I am sure she is flying high and in no more pain in her daddy's arms.

Sara leaves behind her son, her brother, her niece, mother; Grandmother Joyce Bethel (Pueblo, CO), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many lifelong friends in Colorado and Idaho.

A memorial service will be later in April.  An announcement will be placed in the paper as well as her social media later in April. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her dad in Grant, Idaho. Sleep with angels our sweet Sara! You were and are an amazing soul!

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
