Suzanne Halverson Obituary

Suzanne Bell Halverson was born July 14, 1966 in Rexburg, Idaho. She was the second child of seven children born to Garon and Sheryl Bell. Suzanne grew up in the Rexburg area and later attended Rick's College majoring in Art. There she met the love of her life and best friend of 32 years, Kevin.

Suzanne and Kevin married on May 2nd, 1986 in Rexburg, Idaho and were sealed together in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they raised five children in Rupert, Idaho. Suzanne created a home full of music, art, the love of reading, and chocolate chip cookies. With her impeccable eye for design she enjoyed making a beautiful home. Antiquing, painting, photography, reading, and winning at Scrabble were her passions. She loved music and encouraged her children to play, often requesting impromptu living room concerts.

The last few years she worked as the LDS seminary secretary at Minico High School where she loved working closely with the teachers and with the students as a mentor and confidant. Suzanne had many close friends and enjoyed laughing and lunching with all of them. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and six grandchildren.

After three years of rigorous ovarian cancer treatments, Suzanne passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family. Despite all of life's hardships, her faith and love in her Savior never wavered. The family would like to thank the kind staff and physicians at Minidoka Memorial Hospital and St. Lukes in Twin Falls. A special thank you is also conveyed to Minidoka Hospice for their love and gentle care.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Kevin Halverson and their children; Dayna Anderson (Carl), Troy Halverson, Kelsie Bates (Dakota), Samantha Hunt (Jefferson), Travis Halverson (Hannah); and her grandchildren Claire and Lincoln Anderson, Everett and Georgia Bates, Theodore and Winnie Hunt, and another Baby Boy coming in September.

She is also survived by her parents Garon and Sheryl Bell; her siblings; Allan Bell (Susan), Stevan Bell (Kari), Christine Bell, Ethan Bell (Echo), Ryan Bell (Lisa), Amy Bell, and many nieces and nephews.

Suzanne is profoundly missed and deeply loved by all.
