Obituary
Thomas William Poindexter age 74 passed away in Happy Valley, Oregon on November 11, 2022. He was born July 19, 1948 in Winterset, Iowa to parents Gerald and Nola Mae Dudney Poindexter. He moved to Paul, Idaho when his father drew a farm on the Minidoka Project in 1957. Tom graduated from Minidoka County High School and attended Boise Junior College. He served honorably in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He worked as a long-haul trucker and saw a lot of the country during his travels. He was a hunter and fisherman. You could catch him at the coffee counter at Hill Oil a couple times a week or the Melody Bar for a hello.
He is survived by his mother Nola Robbins, sister Bernice MacKenzie, daughter Arianne Poindexter, grandson Colton Wilson, granddaughter Winter LaFaunce, great grandson Traeden Wilson and a nephew and many nieces. He was predeceased in death by his father Gerald Poindexter, daughter Aimee LaFaunce, brother Dick Poindexter and wife Darlene Parker.
No funeral services are planned at this time arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
