Todd Larry Gerratt, beloved husband, father, grandpa (Papo to his littles), son, brother, and friend passed away on October 3rd, 2022.

Todd was the 2nd of 5 children born on May 25th, 1964, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Larry & Barbara Gerratt. Todd grew up working hard on the family farm south of Burley. In high school, he was recognized as being an explosive football player and was known for getting into a little mischief with the boys. Todd graduated from Burley High School in 1982 and married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Lee Schmidt, shortly after on February 4th, 1983. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the SLC Temple on July 14th, 1984. They were blessed with their son, Jacob Todd, on March 3rd, 1986, and daughter, Lyndsie K, on December 29th, 1987.

In 1989 Todd decided to return to the family business, Ida Gold Farms. He had a knack and a passion for farming and rapidly excelled in it. He worked together with his partners to expand Ida Gold Farms, and to build Midway Dairy and IGS Applications.

He and Brenda loved to travel and explore new places. When traveling to warmer climates they loved to visit places where they could scuba dive as it was one of their favorite things to do together. They loved to visit anywhere tropical, but also enjoyed places of history. They especially loved bringing their children and grandchildren along on their excursions and sharing their love of travel with them. Todd loved his family with all of his heart and especially enjoyed time with his “littles”.

Todd was a board member on the National Potato Council, Chairman of the Ag Affairs Committee, and Chairman for the Board of Directors for Raft River Recharge. Recently he was recognized for his work on the Raft River pipeline. He was an active member of Simply Hope & Teen Hope and was also a board member there.

Todd lived life to the fullest and never backed down from a challenge. He took his latest challenge in stride and fought to the end. Todd will be remembered by his loved ones for his humor, generosity, selflessness, and his famous words of wisdom.

His family would like to thank their guardian angel, Libby Velencia, for the love and support she was to Brenda in her time of need. She was very instrumental in getting Todd back home to his family.

Todd is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; son, Jacob (Kristi Heward); daughter, Lyndsie (Kegan McCoy); and Fai (Art Oui); grandsons, Brogyn & Knox; granddaughters, Niah and Kwyncee; parents, Larry & Barbara; father-in-law, Johnny Schmidt, father and mother-in-law, Sonny & Kenna Bowlin; sisters, Wendy (Dave Harding), Alisa (Ben Brown); brothers, Eric, & Scott (Sommers Hunt); along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Don and Ann Gerratt and C. LeRoy & Gladys Garner.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022,  at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-Unity Ward building located at 275 S. 250 E. Burley, Idaho with President Brock Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.

Todd saw the difference Simply Hope was making in the community. He believed in giving back and was always there to help those in need, he was a friend to everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to D.L. Evans Bank on behalf of Todd Gerratt for the benefit of Simply Hope.
