Tommy Hull Obituary

Tommy Edward Hull, age 55, passed away at home on January 26, 2020.

Tommy was born in Burley, Idaho on March 21st, 1964, to Tom and Vivian Hull.  Tommy was the oldest of seven kids.  He spent most of his life in the Mini-Cassia area, but did live in Florida for a year working and fishing with family and friends.

Tommy was a wonderful friend with a big heart.  He took in anyone who needed a friend, always gave more of himself than he ever asked for, and always ensured any time spent together was full of laughs and good times.  Everyone who knows Tommy has multiple stories to share, and the stories are always full of crazy fun and laughs.  Tommy loved his family and friends, and spending time with them was very important to him.  When his mother, Vivian’s health condition worsened, Tommy was a very dedicated caregiver to her.

Tommy loved to spend time in the outdoors fishing, bird hunting, camping, panning for gold, metal detecting and geocaching.  Tommy loaded his own ammunition for hunting and enjoyed reloading just about any round someone would bring him.  Tommy was also a great mechanic, carpenter and enjoyed rebuilding computers.  Tommy would take an interest in tinkering with anything just to find out how it worked.  He loved listening to music, and could cook a delicious meal out of just about anything, his specialty being “whatcha got stew.”

Tommy married DeeAnn Jacobsen in 1987, and they had one daughter, Stephanie Ann.  They later divorced and Tommy started a life with Mary Shradley.  Mary had four children from a previous marriage who Tommy quickly accepted as his own; Jeffrey, Brandon, Sage and Jade.  Mary passed away in 2009, and Tommy’s heart had never been whole since.

Tommy is survived by his father, Tom Hull; his daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Geraughty; granddaughters Rylie & Raegan Geraughty; brothers Timmy (Dana) Hull, Travis (Tarole) Hull, and Tyler (Amy) Hull; sisters Tammy (Keith) Heward, Terrie (Garren) George, Tera (Fernando) Jimenez.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Hull; his love, Mary Shradley; his nephew Ryker Hull; and his grandparents.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 30th, 2020, at Hansen Mortuary,

710 6th St, in Rupert.  There will be a private viewing from 10:00-11:00 preceding the funeral.  Burial with follow at the Rupert Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for monetary donations toward funeral expenses.
