Yolanda Villicana, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 07, 2026.
Yolanda was born in San Antonio, Texas. As a young girl, Yolanda and her family traveled as migrant workers. They followed the harvest seasons in Oregon, Washington, California, Michigan, Minnesota, and Idaho as they picked hops, apples, cherries, beets, and potatoes. Even though she lived in Idaho for many years, deep down, Yolanda was a Texas girl, and you could tell because she loved her country music, especially Toby Keith! Yolanda also made many friends while working at McCain's and talked about them with affection.
Yolanda was an excellent wife to her husband of 52 1/2 years, Pascual Villicana. She was a wonderful mother to her children and a Godsend grandma to her grandchildren. She loved spoiling her family and friends with all her delicious cooking and baking - if you know, you know. Now her children and grandchildren carry on that wonderful cooking tradition that she showed them - making food with love.
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Pascual Villicana and her beloved children Juan (Jennifer) Villicana, Diana (Virgilio) Rodriguez, and Beatriz Villicana. She is also survived by her grandchildren - Pedro, Meno, Carlos, Venci, Xavier, Vivyen and Dominic. She called them her Lucky 7 and her legacies. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren, and she would brag about them whenever she got the chance.
Yolanda is also survived by her siblings - Primo, Jesus, Carol, Ralph, Rudy, Freddy, Florinda, Rachel and her baby brother, Joey.
The Villicana Family would like to thank the staff and friends at DaVita in Burley. They loved her and would call her their sunshine. She enjoyed making treat bags for her fellow-patients and for the Davita staff for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Thank you Natalie, Froyla, Tyler, Craig, Julie, Lydia, Corine, Hayleigh, Katelyn, Kathleen, Diana and Cara for taking good care of our mom - you made her smile and created great memories with her.
