Beverly Ann (Sparks) Son, a 69 year old Rupert resident, died July 30, 2019, at Countryside Care and Rehab in Rupert, Idaho. Beverly was born October 13, 1949, in Acequia, Idaho, during a snowstorm at the family farm. She was the youngest of seven children born to Clarence and Virginia Sparks. She attended schools in Acequia and Rupert and graduated from Minico High School in 1967.
On November 10, 1967, she married Harvey William Son, Sr. in Rupert. During Beverly's life she was a cook at various cafes, worked at Ore-Ida Foods, was a co-owner of AJ's Bar and Grill, and was a cook at Highland Estates until her kidney transplant in 2009. Beverly loved camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her children Harvey Jr. (Shantell, the "favorite"), Tonya (Angel) Silva, David (Tracy), and bonus son Jeff (Kasey) Thompson, her sister Judy (Frank) Coelho, brothers Clarence (Sharon) Sparks and Ronald Sparks, sisters-in-law Dorothy Sparks, Marion (Bob) Baird, and Jane (Tracy) Nichol, and brother-in-law Ron Draper. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey William Son, Sr., her parents and stepmother Anne Sparks, her sisters Mary Draper and Betty Lou Sparks, her brother Jerry Sparks, and great-grandson Brandon Herrera.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2019, at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2019, and one hour prior to service Monday at the mortuary.
