Frances Hayden 75 years old, on January 24, 2022 went knocking at God’s door and God answered, leaving many family and friends behind, but joining many at God’s door. She was surrounded by loved ones as she was called to God’s great home.
Frances was born in Monticello, Utah on April 24, 1946 to William Robert Quigley and Kathryn May Moore. She was the youngest of nine children; Alice, Bob, Frank, Joseph, David, Bill, Dan, and Isaac as also two half sisters Maxine and Rosemary. The family eventually moved to Rupert, Idaho. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the gospel is a very important part of her life.
Frances's mother owned a retirement home where she worked. She would run into her soon-to-be husband, Shelby Hayden. On March 5, 1971 they were married and later sealed in the Boise, Idaho Temple on April 12, 1985. They had seven children over the years Melanie, Donna, David, Shelley, Kara, Jeanette and Janet. They farmed and ranched in Rupert. She turned out to be a great truck driver until 1996 when they moved to Declo. Shelby and Frances were together for nearly 51 years.
Frances was a part of the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee for many years. She enjoyed it very much. She got to travel with the committee. Frances enjoyed the association with the Declo Ladies Lunch Bunch. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She loved to read and sew. She was very talented at sewing. She made many things including a wedding dress for one of her daughters. She tried to give her love to those who needed it.
She is survived by her husband Shelby Hayden, children Melanie (Elton) Yost, Donna Bush, David (Cathy) Hayden, Shelley (Walter) Reincke, Kara (Kenny) Ferullo, Jeanette (Jesse) Johnston, and Janet (Ty) Fehlman. 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Kathryn Quigley, brothers, David Quigley, Bob Quigley, Frank Quigley, Joseph Quigley, sister Alice Marler, half sisters; Maxine Simmons and Rosemary Hodd, and In-laws Silas and Juanita Hayden.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 29, 2022 at the Declo Stake Center located at 213 W Main St. in Declo, Idaho. Burial will be held at the Rupert Cemetery following the funeral service. Family and friends will be received from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday January 28, 2022 at Hansen Mortuary, 710 6th St. Rupert, Idaho and from 10:00 am to 10:45 am Saturday at the church.
