George Rast, Age 77 was born in Wendell, ID on July 14, 1941. He passed away July 15, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of Christian and Scyntha Rast. He graduated from Wendell High School in 1960. He married Judy Twiss on June 27, 1964 and have resided is Paul for 52 years. They raised two children Wade Rast (Bonnie) Twin Falls, ID and Holly Lopez (Pete) Rupert ID. He was the proud grandfather of Cody Lopez, Moscow ID, Justin Rast, Meridian, Courtney Lopez, Pocatello and Kendell Rast, Twin Falls.
He worked as a tank mechanic and retired from the National Guard after 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, son, daughter and 4 grandchildren and his faithful dog Sammy. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 21, 2018 at the Pine Chapel in the Paul Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Hansen Mortuary Rupert, Id.
