Guadalupe "Lupe" Palomarez

Guadalupe Palomarez Jr. “Lupe”, 76, of Rupert passed away on Sunday December 3, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born April 2, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas to Guadalupe and Margarita Palomarez, He was the oldest sibling of 8 brothers and 7 sisters.

He’s Proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Dion, Jesse, Frank, Letho, JoJo, and his sister Grace.

Lupe is survived by his wife and lifelong love Verda Palomarez, son Dion, daughter Connie (Jason) Voyles, grandkids Danielle and David. His brothers Fred, Thomas, and Vincent. Sisters Mary, Thonia, Rosalinda, Lyla, Mercedes, and Delores. We will all miss him deeply.

Lupe and Verda first met as neighbors growing up and then married where they spent 55 years together.

Lupe and Verda loved to host BBQ’S and family reunions and made sure there was always plenty of food to go around. He also loved to play and coach soft ball and loved the Dallas Cowboys.

Gathering for family and friends will be held at 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. on Friday December 8, 2023 at Hansen Mortuary. With a grave side services to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Rupert Cemetery with Father Camilo Garcia officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
