We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father Robert "Bob" Murdock, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on August 10, 1942, in Driggs, Idaho, to George Alma and Letha (Anderson) Murdock. He was the firstborn of five siblings and grew up in the beautiful Teton Valley working on the ranch with his father. Bob had a passion for nature and spent many hours in the mountains with his friends. He enjoyed hunting, skiing, snowmobiling and any other activity that allowed him to explore the great State of Idaho.

Bob married Linda Sanders on June 5,1964, and they were blessed with four children: Kolene (Brent) Lohnes, Dana (John) Thompson, Kurt (Tami) Murdock, and Rick (Ashleigh) Murdock. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His legacy of family devotion and endless support will forever remain etched in our hearts, a testament to his profound love and enduring influence on each of us.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many roles, his favorite being the Bishop of the Rupert 7th Ward because he absolutely loved working with the youth. He and his eternal companion enthusiastically and wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to a Service Mission for the Church in 2016.

Bob will be remembered fondly for his fun-loving spirit, his love for sharing stories, and his unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and the gospel. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that will continue to be felt by all who were blessed to know him.  Bob loved to spend time with his family, so to honor him please spend time with yours.

Bob was welcomed into heaven by his parents, his sister Marsha Van Tries, and his brothers Ray and Terry Murdock. He will be covered in kisses by his beautiful granddaughter Bresha Lohnes and loving wife of 59 years.  Bob will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his sister Gail (Boyd) Knight.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2024 at the Rupert 7th Ward Chapel (324 E. 18th Street) with Bishop Boyd Bingham conducting. Viewing for family and friends will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday March 15, 2024 at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert. Services will conclude with burial at the Rupert Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
