Ronald Farnsworth Obituary

Ronald D. Farnsworth, 78, died Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho surrounded by his wife and children. He was born July 27, 1941 in Colonia Garcia, Chihuahua, Mexico to Elmer David and Lenna Farnsworth.

At an early age he and his brother worked in mining claims and drove logging trucks for their father. Throughout his life he worked as an equipment operator in the mining and construction industry. Ron’s most fulfilling job with lifelong memories was managing the operation of an alfalfa farm in Elfrida, Arizona with his family working beside him.

His interests throughout the years included art, drawing and writing which Ron always referred to as his “rambling thoughts”.  He also obtained his private pilot’s license to enjoy his passion for flying.

Ron is survived by his wife Dianne, children Dan (Jule), Ronna (Ed) Hintz, Susan (Dennis) Swindell and J.D. (Lisa); grandchildren Brett, Joel, Jenell, Amanda, Tessa, Whitney, Dutch and Emma; Great-grandchildren Taigen, Tairen, Taisli, Taos, Wyatt, and Kelton; 6 siblings Royce, Rena, Madge, Donna, Sherry and Gary, numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend since the 4th grade Richard Morales.    He was preceded in death by an infant son, his father and mother Elmer David (Dutch) and Lenna Farnsworth.  Ron’s family would like to express their thanks to Mark and Kristi DeWitt for all the love and support.

As per Ron’s request there will be no services, cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Jason Robertson at Joel Heward’s Hansen Mortuary, Rupert, Idaho.
