Ruth Fletcher Obituary

Ruth Ann Fletcher, 82 years of age, died on August 3, 2021, in Rupert, Idaho.

She was born on December 17, 1938, in Rupert, Idaho and lived there her entire life.

She is survived by two sisters, Marilie Trollinger and Sally Bullock, and three children James Fletcher, Bessie Davis and Nancy Riener.  Ruth also leaves behind six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Fletcher, her parents James and Mary Miller, an older sister Ella May, two brothers Johnny and Joe Miller and a nephew Steven Trollinger.

Ruth was born on a farm in Rupert, Idaho and loved helping her parents with various chores as she was growing up.  In 1960 Ruth went to work at the JR Simplot company in Heyburn, Idaho where she worked for over forty years.  She married Marvin Fletcher in 1968 in Acequia, Idaho and they were married for 49 years.  With this marriage came three children who she helped to raise.  Ruth was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

We wish to thank the staff at Autumn Haven Assisted Living for the kind, loving and helpful support that they gave to Ruth over the last four years.  

Ruth's memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary.  Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
