Shay Dawn (Tranmer) Knopp

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Shay Tranmer Knopp who lost her life on 11/04/2023. On this day the angels were sent down at that time to embrace her and take her to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father. Shay was born in Pocatello, Idaho on October 4th, 1967, to parents Arlis & Sharen Tranmer.  Shay is survived by her husband, Calvin Knopp, prior to that she was married to Craig Leytham and has 2 sons, Timothy and Tory, and married to Clint Jones and had 1 daughter, Logan. She is also survived by her parents, Arlis & Sharen, 4 siblings, and abundance of aunts, uncles, & cousins. Shay spent most of her life living in Jerome, Idaho in her childhood and later stayed in Idaho, but spent most of her life living in Rupert, Idaho.

Shay had a huge heart and really enjoyed being around her family, especially when food was involved. In her school years, she enjoyed being in Drama class as this brought out her funny side and she enjoyed it when others laughed.  She always excelled with track and was excellent at the broad jump. She loved to dance (she was great at it) and sing; one of her favorite songs to sing was, “Fernando”: by ABBA.  She also loved to sing Christmas songs and would perform little musicals with her sister and cousins in front of other family members. Although some would consider Shay shy, she just never wanted to steal the spotlight from anyone else and was okay with being her own person and when anyone needed her, she was there for them.

When you see a yellow rose, please think of Shay, and send a little prayer to her. She will be missed greatly as she was loved more than words can say.    

Graveside funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Paul Cemetery, Paul, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
