Teresita Bailey Obituary

Teresita Almadin (Balasbas) Bailey, 72, passed away peacefully after a long courageous fight on March 27, 2024. Tita was born September 10, 1951 Isidro and Sadiro Balasbas in McArthur, Leyte, Philippines. She was the youngest of three children. Tita was well known as a hard worker, something she learned early in life. Whatever she set her mind to, she would accomplish. She completed her GED and became a CNA later in life. She was a kind, compassionate, and loving person to anyone she met.

On October 8, 1974, she married the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Terry Glen Bailey. They built a life together, having four children: Terri Lynn (deceased), Fredrick Glen, Donna Rose, and Cabel Waine. She was an amazing mom. She was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of that time.

When all the children were older, she began working at Kings Department Store. Anyone who knew her always had fond memories of her. She was always kind and made many friends along the way.

She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her husband of 49 years, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and shopping with her best friends.

Tita is survived by her husband Terry of Heyburn, her son Fred Bailey of Twin Falls, Donna (Mitch) Hickman of Rigby, Cabel (Holly) Bailey of Idaho Falls, a sister, Patricia Balasbas of Leyte, Philippines along with numerous nieces and nephews in the Philippines. She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel (Jordan) Smith of Rigby, Domenick (Alexis) Smith of Twin Falls, Brianne (Braxtin) Hickman of Idaho Falls, Abbylynn Hickman of Caldwell, and Mackaylee, Brynlee, and Elijah Bailey of Idaho Falls.

She was an amazing Grandma but an even better Great Grandma to Brayven, Clara, and Jaxton Smith, Rayden Mullowney, Ryder and Oliver Hickman-Allen, and Brylie Hull.

She is truly loved and will be greatly missed by us all. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, one brother, Ernesto Balasbas, her daughter, Terri Lynn, one great granddaughter, Macie Rose, and her loving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glenn and Peggy Bailey. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
