David L. Schaeffer 73 of Rupert passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Minidoka Hospital. He was born June 6, 1943 to Henry and Emma Schaeffer. He went to school at Meridian Development Center in Burley, Idaho. David lived in Paul and Rupert at Valley Vista for over 16 years and loved and appreciated their care and friendship, they were his second family. He loved making projects from popsicle sticks.
David is survived by his siblings Juanita and Shelby Zimmerman, Angela and Bob Hardy, Steve and Janice Schaeffer and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Emma Schaeffer, his brother and sister in law Ron and Pauline Schaeffer
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the mortuary. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at the mortuary and for one hour prior to the services.
