Dorothy Bean Horton Lish 95 of Rupert passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her home. Dorothy was born in Centerville, Iowa May 13, 1921, yes, it was on Friday, daughter to Lock and Myrtle Stomire Bean, the fifth child of seven. Mom passed away in 19:30 when little Jim was born, four years later Papa married again to Julia Swengel and seven more joined the family. At seventeen Dorothy married Calvin Horton; they had two daughters Jackie and Linda and a son Calvin. They divorced and she married Frank Lish and had a daughter Frances. Frank helped her raise her children and became Dad to them. He passed away in 1968. Cal passed away a couple of years later. Dorothy enjoyed her little south of the border trips to Jackpot and attending bingo and the center.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Frances Horton, half-sister Janice Harden and half-brother Larry Eddie and Lloyd Bean and eight beautiful grandchildren Bill Hardy; Susan Smith; Jody (Lynn) Rogers; Julie (Randy) Ball; Brent (Shelly) Wolf; Brenda Wolf; David (Leisa) Horton; Jenifer Davidson; two son in laws Joe Wolf, Declo; Dan Horton; and six great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Lish, daughters Jackie Hardy, Linda Wolf and her only son Calvin Horton. Papa, Mam, Hernie, Bessie, Opal, Pauline, Byron, Jim, Step-mom, Julia brothers Paul, Bobbie, and David, daughter in law Millie Horton, son in law Irvin Hardy and great grandson Jordan Davidson
Dorothy would like to send a special thanks to her grandson Bill and all her angel girls who came every week to see her.
