On Saturday, March 26, 2016, beloved husband and father Waymon Dee Yarbrough (90) passed from this life to the next at his home in Rupert, Idaho.
Waymon was born on May 16, 1925, to Elmer P. and Annie Cantrel Yarbrough and was raised on the family farm near Johnson Chapel, Missouri. At age 18, he migrated to California where he met his first wife, Geneive Pemberton. Their marriage blessed them with five children. In 1973, Waymon married Shanna Stokes and they were blessed with three children.
Waymon is survived by his wife of 42 years Shanna, his children James (Janet); Gary (Star), Quinn (Sharon), Charlotte (Corbin Knowles), Waylon (Heather), and Angela (Curt Chierici), as well as many precious grand, great grand, and great-great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters, two daughters, Sharon and Ramona, son-in-law Ray Millspaw, daughter-in-law Paulette Yarbrough, son-in-law Don Jones, and grand children Joani Ann Yarbrough, Kevin Don Jones, and Larry Don Yarbrough, and three other infant grandchildren.
The family is thankful and blessed that Waymon lived a full life and impacted so many family and friends with his life and laughter. He will be missed.
A viewing will be held at Hansen Mortuary on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 pm, and funeral services at Truth Tabernacle in Burley, Idaho, on Saturday April 2, 2016, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Declo Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at hansen-mortuary.com
