Mitzi Brooks, 58, of Burley passed away suddenly at her home on October 23rd, 2015.
Mitzi was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska and moved to Idaho to attend the University of Idaho in 1982. She graduated with a BA in Sociology in 1986. She met her husband Keith Brooks while attending the University. After moving to Burley in 1986, she worked various part time jobs including substitute teaching for the Cassia County Schools.
She was active in the United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star and the International Order of Jobs Daughters.
Her favorite activities were crossword puzzles, hunting, camping, fishing and traveling with her husband.
Mitzi was a devoted mother and spent numerous hours involved with cub scouts, boy scouts, and attending orchestra concerts and cross-country meets.
She married Keith Brooks in July, 1985 and is survived by her husband Keith Brooks, her son Tyrell Brooks, her sisters Roxanne Richards, Dawn Cox, Joye Middlestadt and her brother John Richards.
She was preceded in death by he parents Duane and Merle Richards.
She was always cheerful and ready to help with dinners, fundraisers and anything else she was asked to do.
She was very close to her family and her husband parents and will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held later for friends and family at a later date.
