Marie Juanita Williams Ford 92 of Rupert Marie left her earthly home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2015 in Meridian, ID. Marie was born in 1922 in Westport South Dakota. Marie was raised in southern California and married Elton "Pete" Ford in 1942. They moved to Idaho in 1947 to homestead a farm on the Hunt Project. They moved to Twin Falls after selling their farm north of Eden Id. Marie worked as a waitress at the South Park Café and also worked as a caregiver while in Twin Falls. They moved to Rupert in 1967 Marie worked as a teller for Idaho First National Bank. Pete and Marie went on many fun trips including Mexico, the Bahamas, Alaska, Hawaii and all over the of the United States. In 2009 they moved to Eagle to be close to their daughter when Pete became ill. Marie served the Lord at the Burley 1st Baptist Church for over forty years. She also taught Sunday School and was an AWANAS.
Pete and Marie had two children a son Daryl Ford, Sagle, Id and daughter Karen Barnes, Eagle, Id. Pete and Marie had three grandchildren, Brandon Ford, Idaho Falls, Darin Barnes, Nampa Idaho, and Devin Barnes (deceased). They had four great grand-children, Baily and Hayden Barnes of Nampa, Id., Jocelyn Ford and MacKenzie Ford, Idaho Falls, Id. and two great-great-grandchildren, Bryer and Daygen Ford, Idaho Falls, Id.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Hansen Mortuary. Services will conclude with burial in the Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Hansen Mortuary.
