RUPERT – Maurine A. Parker, age 96, of Rupert, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Countryside Care & Rehabilitation in Rupert.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Acequia 1st Ward, located at 20403 5th Street, in Acequia, where a visitation will be held from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Rupert Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hansen Mortuary of Rupert.

Maurine Parker was one of my beginning piano teachers. She taught me to love music and strive for perfection in my playing. She saw more talent in me than I ever saw in myself. I remember her with fondness as I felt a genuine love from her. She left the world a better place.
