Blanca, had a beautiful heart a most kind lady. My deepest condolences
From silvia Gonzalez:
I am gutted to hear of Blanca's death. I owe a large debt to her. When I graduated from high school, my plans were to work locally and help out with the family finances. In the summer of 1972, Blanca came to my home and changed the course of my life. Blanca convinced my widowed mother to let me attend college. Blanca helped to complete my admission and financial applications, secure housing, and set me up with an advisor. After securing my Associate's degree, I joined the military and afterwards got my accounting degree. These careers provided me with the opportunity to travel to different countries, meet new people, experience different cultures and food, and oh so many adventures. Blanca was a classy lady who dressed like a model. She was an excellent speaker, an amazing singer, a decorator, and cared very much for her family and friends.
My condolences to her family on losing such an amazing family member.
From Doug Guymon:
Blanca anchored at KMVT in my early days there. Her and Ken Rickey had TV news in their blood. And they both were darn good at it. Most every night she would say to me. “Do I have lipstick on my teeth” Always camera ready.
From Gene Benavidez:
So sorry for your loss. She was very talented lady, from working at KMVT, as a News anchor to her beautiful voice as singer in the band Suavecito. Prayers and may RIP!
From Brian Croner:
I remember Blanca as a lead singer in a band back in 1977, playing at some of the lounges in the valley. I filled in on guitar when their guitarist was sick and was impressed with her singing. And then later, she worked as a news anchor at KMVT while I worked there in commercial production. She was a very fine, talented and gracious lady and will be missed. I'm sorry for the family's loss.
