RUPERT – We are sad to announce the passing of Blanca Santos on June 18, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She truly lived life to the fullest. Her pleasures included her many art projects, cooking, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margarita Santos and Manuel Santos; and four of her siblings, Guillermo Santos, Armando Santos, Manuel Santos, and Nohemi Madarieta.

She is survived by her husband Frank Hidalgo; and three of her siblings, Maria Elena Vergara, Myrna Lonney, and Rudy Santos; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, located at 802 F. street, in Rupert, with Rev. Father Camilo Garcia as celebrant. A graveside service will follow at the Rupert Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hansen Mortuary of Rupert.

I have known Blanca since we were in grade school. Their family moved into our house for a short time. She was a wonderful person a true friend. My heart condolences to her family. May God bless her.
